Community Rules & Terms
Zero tolerance. Tonight has no room for objectionable content or abusive users. Posting any of the things below gets the content removed and the account banned, and we may report threats or illegal activity to the authorities.
Don't post
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or anything targeting a person or group — including hate based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other identity.
- Nudity, sexual content, or anything involving minors.
- Graphic violence, self-harm, or anything that encourages it.
- Selling or arranging drugs, fake IDs, weapons, or anything else illegal. Alcohol posts are only for venues and events that follow the law — 21+ means 21+.
- Someone else's personal information (address, phone number, private photos) or anything that could get someone hurt.
- Spam, scams, fake events, impersonation of people, schools or staff, or links to other sites.
Reporting and blocking
Tap ⚑ Report on any flyer, comment or photo and pick a reason, or block the person who posted it. Anything reported by 3 different people is taken down automatically, and you'll see whether something you reported is still up or was taken down. Blocked people's posts, comments and photos disappear for you everywhere in Tonight. Reports go to the Tonight team, and we review them within 24 hours. Photos are also checked automatically before they appear.
Your posts
You're responsible for what you post. Only verified students at supported schools can post. By posting you let Tonight show that content in the app and on the website until it expires or you delete it. We can remove anything, at any time, that breaks these rules.
Events and meeting people
Event details come from public listings and from students, and they can be wrong or change. Check the linked source before you go. Tonight isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or run by any of the universities it covers (UF, UCF, FSU, FAMU, USF, the University of Tampa, UNF, Jacksonville University, UWF, FAU or the University of Miami) or any venue. If you meet someone from a post, meet somewhere public and don't share your address.
Accounts
You can delete your account at any time from Account in the app. We can suspend accounts that break these rules. Tonight is provided as-is, without guarantees that it will always be available or accurate.
